Chaco Passages
Jim McLain has exhibited his turned wood
vessels at juried shows and in galleries in New Mexico since 1999, and
has received numerous awards for his work, including Best of Show in the
Master Woodturning Division, New Mexico State Fair 2004.

McLain has been turning wood for approximately 13
years. Much of his work is considered segmented or stack lamination
- constructed of several pieces of wood that are cut up and glued together
prior to turning on a lathe. He also uses woods native to the Socorro
area.

Marigold Arts was
established on Canyon Road in April 2002 and has since become the Santa
Fe destination gallery for watercolor paintings. The gallery represents
the best of fine art and craft by New Mexico artists, featuring handwoven
textiles, fine crafts, including wearable art, sculpture, watercolors,
and jewelry.
