Daniel Haynie started making welded metal sculpture in 1977. He attended Texas Tech University and studied drawing and art history. Later Daniel toook a welding course at Lubbock Christian College which ultimately led to his career as a sculptor. Working in welding jobs he learned the process of constructing and shaping metal for a utilitarian purpose. Now of course the emphasis is on aesthetics, and he works in many mediums, stainless steel, aluminum, steel, copper, & silicon bronze.
